Mudumalai Bandipur Safari Timings

Van and Jeep safari is conducted in Mudumalai and Bandipur Elephant Safari / Elephant ride is available at Bandipur / Mudumalai. Tickets for the safari have to be bought at the respective forest reception centers before the start of the safari. Private vehicles are not allowed inside the forest core area for safari. It is a punishable offence to litter / stop / picnic / enter the forest area.

Bandipur Jeep Safari Timings

In Bandipur both van safari and jeep safari are conducted by the forest department. There is only one jeep operated by forest department.



Elephant Safari Mudumalai


Adventure Safari Tour Mudumalai

 

In Jeep Safari, there are only 2 trips in the morning safari and 2 trips in the evening safari. Jeep safari cannot be booked in advance and is given on a first come first serve basis. Maximum six people allowed per jeep. Jeep safari is a one and half hour trip inside the forest and maximum six people can be accommodated in a jeep.

Bandipur Van safari Timings

Morning 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM.
Evening 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM.

Rs.95 per head for half hour round trip in a 25 seater van.

 

Bandipur Jeep Safari Timings

Morning
First Trip: 6:30 AM to 8:00 AM.
Second Trip: 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM.
Evening
First Trip: 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
Second Trip: 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

Rs.2000 per Jeep (maximum six people allowed).

Rs.2250 per Jeep for foreign wildlife travelers .

Bandipur Mudumalai Elephant Safari

It is a 10 minute elephant joy ride in Bandipur Rs.50 per person subject to availabilty.
In Mudumalai, half hour elephant safari has been started with bookings to be done at the Ooty forest officeand 50% of tickets sold at Mudumalai Theppakadu reception center on a first come first serve basis.

Cost of ticket per person = Rs. 100
Maximum 4 people per elephant

The elephant safari timings are

Morning : 07:00 AM to 08:30 AM
Evening : 03:30 PM to 05:00 PM

Jeep Safari Bandipur

In Mudumalai only van safari is available at the moment

Morning 6:30 AM to 9:00 AM
Evening 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM

Rs.35 per head for half hour round trip in a 25 seater van.
